Performance and Steam Deck
Steam Deck compatibility for app 2333000 is Verified. The PC minimum spec below is the store requirement, not a framerate chart we measured.
Evidence and limits
I checked Valve's compatibility report, Steam requirements and Team17's hotfix announcement on 14 October 2026. We did not capture frame times on PC or consoles. Deck certification is not evidence that Switch, Switch 2, PS5 or Xbox has a particular frame rate.
PC requirements from Steam
Both configurations require a 64-bit processor and OS. Steam's 5 GB figure is available disk space, not the download size.
| Requirement | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| OS | Windows 10 | Windows 11 |
| CPU | Core i5-4460 / Ryzen 3 1200 | Core i5-6600 / Ryzen 5 1600 |
| RAM | 8 GB | 8 GB |
| GPU | GTX 660 Ti / Radeon R9 270X | GTX 770 / Radeon R9 380 |
| DirectX / available space | 12 / 5 GB | 12 / 5 GB |
DirectX 11 option in Hotfix 1
On 9 October 2026, Team17 added a DirectX 11 launch option to the Steam version and recommends trying it for performance issues, especially on Deck. The requirements table still says DirectX 12; the hotfix supplies an alternative launch path, not revised minimum hardware.
Switch 2 versus PS5
No reproducible frame-rate, resolution or battery-life comparison was collected in this audit. Nintendo UK lists 4.0 GB for Switch and 5.5 GB for Switch 2; those download sizes are not performance measurements. We cannot name a faster console version or recommend untested graphics settings.
