Games like Silver Pines
Silver Pines is a 2.5D survival horror metroidvania. The useful neighbors are games with that mix, not every horror game on Steam.
Evidence and limits
These are editorial comparisons based on official descriptions checked on 14 October 2026, not a personal ranking or hands-on reviews. Similarity in horror themes does not make every recommendation a side-scrolling metroidvania.
Choose the feature you want more of
Silver Pines combines puzzle-solving, limited resources and a side-view town. Each candidate below shares only part of that pitch; read the differences before choosing.
| Game | Useful overlap | Important difference |
|---|---|---|
| SIGNALIS | Classic survival horror and an unsettling investigation | Dystopian science-fiction setting; not the same side-view town |
| Crow Country | Investigating a disappearance in a horror setting | A theme park, not Silver Pines or a promised equivalent map system |
| Withering Rooms | 2.5D horror presentation | A procedurally generated Victorian mansion and RPG builds |
Twin Peaks is an influence, not a game recommendation
In the 1 June 2026 80.lv interview, Wych Elm co-founder Linus Larsson names Twin Peaks, The X-Files, 8MM and Jacob's Ladder as screen influences, and classic Resident Evil and Silent Hill as gameplay references. The X-Files and Twin Peaks are television series; 8MM and Jacob's Ladder are films. Influence does not mean adaptation.

Questions
Is Silver Pines like Resident Evil?
It shares scarce ammo and fixed-ish exploration with classic survival horror, in a 2.5D metroidvania map. It is not a remake of a Capcom game.
